Will this actually work on my photos, or just the demo shots?
Will this actually work on my photos, or just the demo shots?
This is the right question, and the reason most presets disappoint.
Camera profiles render color differently for each sensor, which is why most presets fall apart when you apply them to your own files.
Every Analog Preset includes separate profiles for Canon, Sony, Nikon, and Fuji.
You also get the "Adapt to Your Photo" guide for each stock, the 3 adjustments you'll likely need for your specific exposure and lighting conditions.
And 5 RAW demo files let you verify it works before you touch any of your own images.
How is this different from VSCO?
How is this different from VSCO?
VSCO is the gold standard technically, but it's now subscription-based and hasn't meaningfully updated its film emulation catalog.
Analog Preset adds what no one offers: transparent technical documentation explaining what each preset does and why, plus per-lighting adjustment guides.
The price is lower. The education is higher than either.
How do I know these aren't just tweaked VSCO presets?
How do I know these aren't just tweaked VSCO presets?
Fair - and we'd ask the same. The "Why It Works" documentation for each preset includes a breakdown of the camera profile settings and curve structure.
You can open the profile files and inspect them. We also include a demo video showing the same RAW file processed with Analog Preset, with a generic slider preset, and against an actual film scan, so you can see the difference directly. We show our work because we can.
I'm not very advanced, will I be able to use these?
I'm not very advanced, will I be able to use these?
Yes. Installation takes 3 minutes and there's a video walk-through.
The presets work as true one-click applications. The documentation is there when you want to go deeper, but you don't have to.
The "Adapt to Your Photo" guides are written for intermediate users: simple, specific, no jargon.
You don't need to understand camera profiles to benefit from them.
